Cabinet boxes are constructed of ½" natural birch veneer core plywood for the sides, tops, and bottoms. The backs are constructed of ¼" natural birch veneer core plywood, built up to ¾" thick at the top and bottom for hanging to walls. Finished sides are done in face-matching plain-sliced veneer ¾" thick plywood, finished flush to the face frame.
Drawers
Our drawer boxes are constructed of ⅝" thick solid wood sides, fronts, and backs, and feature dovetail joinery. Bottoms are ¼" natural birch veneer core plywood. Standard drawer slides are side-mounted to the drawer box, made of epoxy-coated steel, and feature 4 point nylon roller glides. Optional drawer slides include side-mounted full extension, and undermount slides in ¾ extension or full extension.
Finish
We use high solids conversion varnish sealer and topcoat. Most of our stains are hand-wiped to highlight the beauty of our northern Appalachian hardwoods. Some of our stain options include a toning process for uniformity. We also offer several glazed finish options.
Shelves
Our shelves are ¾" thick natural birch veneer or lumber core plywood. Cabinet sides are pre-drilled to make wall and base shelves adjustable.
